Went to see the bunnies last night. So freaking cute. They're getting more comfortable with their environment and routine. They're eating and drinking more. When we take them out, they're exploring more and peeing less. Last night they were doing this little jump-really-hard-with-their-hindquarters thing so their little bunny butts would flip around... It was really cute. Molly was doing it all over the place. She also discovered the mirror at the head of the bed. She thought there were other bunnies. Dawn thinks she's the smarter of the two. She may be right. I'm still holding out hope for Mag though. I picked her based on her picture, and therefore her looks. I hope I don't regret that. I don't think I will. I think she'll turn out fine. This morning when I checked on them she came over and kissed my finger. And last night they were both eating out of my hand. So I'm pretty much hooked.

On Sunday I got bunnies. Two of em from a breeder. I named them Maggie and Molly. Freaking adorable. I'm so happy. Going to see them tonight. Wish they would quit peeing everywhere though.

I was at work and I asked if we were closed for Martin Luther King Jr. day. Pat went off on a rant about how we were but we weren't closed for President's Day, and she thought there were some pretty decent presidents. I let that one slide with an incredulous look. Then she went on to say 'And February's Black History Month, but I don't know of any white history month!' All I could say was 'Are you SERIOUS?!' at which point she said she was joking. Hmm. Didn't seem that funny. I should have told her that there is one. She would have probably just complained that don't make a big enough deal about it.

Been busy with school and Warcraft. Up to level 60. Lots of reading and lesson plans for school. Dr. S made me feel dumb yesterday and Dr. W made me feel smart today. Weird. She sent me a glowing email. Scared me a little.
I'm at the Amish restaurant and Anthony is being adorable. The music playing over the muzak went from best funeral home hits to Disney. To Elvis. Kinda funny.

Oh, and I forgot to mention that last night at calling hours, I was a little confused and surprised. I don't see my great aunts very often, and there were three of them, plus one lady that I think is a great aunt by marriage on the other side. So four all together. One died a few years back and one just died. But I still get them confused. So I thought that the one that died was the one on the other side of the family. Imagine my surprise when she walked in...

Statistically speaking, there are two popes per square kilometer in Vatican City.
Burial ceremony went well, as did the luncheon. Some guy introduced himself to me as my 'day-dee's cuzzzen' in such a manner as to make me imagine that it should have been followed by '...and nephew and/or brother-in-law.' Gotta love having family from the south.
There was a kid at the luncheon that do the Rubik's cube in like 30 seconds. I felt inferior.
Mom asked me randomly if I liked Linda. I don't know why she asked, but I answered affirmatively.

Turned out to be an interesting funeral. Some guy gave a eulogy that started out mildly entertaining, and ended up being a little hellfire and brimstone-y. Actual quote: Make her proud and avoid the wrath that awaits the godless people. Nice.
Turns out she led an interesting life. She got married and had a kid or two, then got divorced and married some guy who molested her daughter, and he ended up in jail, and so she married another guy and her first husband married her sister. Someone, possibly her daughter and son or son in law or husband or ex... got hit by a truck.
And the best picture of her was one on a motorcycle. And the minister actually said, 'She certainly was no Britney Spears.' And aren't we all glad?

Putting the fun in funeral
I'm sitting waiting for my great aunt's funeral to begin. I'm anxious to see what it will be like because she didn't belong to a church, but most of her family is moderately to very religous. They're mostly Catholic or Church of God. Should be interesting.
My dad's a pall bearer, so we had to be here an hour early. Of course, that means we had to be an hour and fifteen minutes early.
There's a Starbucks on this funeral home. I got a cappucino. Very tasty and only a dollar. Guess they can't justify bleeding the grieving dry. There were signs telling me not to take food or drinks out of the cafe, but honestly, who's really going to be the rule enforcer at a funeral home? As I told my mom, I could run around naked and no one would stop me.
They're playing the saddest songs of the 90's over the speakers. Things like, 'It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday' and 'Tears in Heaven'. Lovely.
